Since 1905, AUW has been a vibrant, welcoming, steadfast place where UU women build fellowship and friendships. Come be a part of the joy, the community, and the energy that AUW has embodied for over 100 years! Over 200 women participate in AUW programs annually.
See below for a brief summary of Fall 2012 activities.
It’s September — Time to Join or Renew Your AUW Membership
Why join? AUW organizes meaningful programs throughout the year for the women of the First Universalist community and also financially supports local women’s social justice programs. In addition, AUW provides scholarships which enable our friends with limited incomes to participate.
YOUR membership fee is directly responsible for ensuring these opportunities continue.
Why now? AUW memberships run from Sep to Sep. Regardless of when you paid dues last year, please renew now. Fees are $25 or $15. Get a Membership Form at the Hub in the Social Hall or at any AUW event. Hand in with your dues to the Hub anytime, or snail mail to the Church care of AUW.
(Note: you do not need to be a member of First Universalist to join AUW or attend its programs.)
Autumn Events — Save the Date!
The annual, always fun Fall Kick-Off Dinner will take place Fri, Sep 28th, 5.30pm – 8.30pm. This is the perfect opportunity to meet new and old friends and get energized for the coming church year. Join us! More details below.
AUW’s Friday Get Connected gathers the first Fri of every month. Our very popular half-day Mini-Retreat returns on Sat Oct 27th. Sign up for a one-time task, or share your skills by joining an event team or sub-committee. AUW programs are successful only because of many helping hands. Volunteer sign-up sheets will be at the Hub. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
